Remittance Advice Email (Workflow): Automated email to Suppliers

Our customer required Payables remittance advice in a custom format to be automatically emailed to suppliers.

Key Benefits:
- Using standard functionality as a basis gives a working prototype in very short timeframe.
- Workflow provides the ability to see the status of Remittance Email process.
- Configurable text means no developer involvement is required when text such as phone numbers/addresses change. Payables team can add their own messages to the remittance advice email when required. E.g. Christmas greetings.
- Single point of failure for emails as all other emails flow through workflow.
Key Decisions:
- Use standard remittance email functionality and extend as opposed to using a custom BI Publisher/bursting solution
- Use HTML email format without attachments but with reference to publicly available internet sourced icon
- Use standard configurable setup (Custom Dunning Letter) for changing specific sections (header, footer, section in body).
